New Plymouth Volunteer Service Logo

New Plymouth Volunteer Centre

Volunteering what is it?

Sharing your time, your skills and your friendship with others who need a hand. It gives you new experiences, new friends and new horizons to explore.

Everybody can volunteer - we all have got things to share, even if it is just a smile and a chat. There is always someone who will be glad to see you.

What’s in it for me?

Volunteering gives you the opportunity to:

  • Gain new skills.

  • Build confidence

  • Help others.

  • Get work experience.

  • Discover new work places.

  • Explore your community.

  • Make new friends.

  • Share your knowledge.

HOW CAN I HELP!

BY SHARING YOUR TIME:

The volunteer Service needs people with a variety of skills.

CAN YOU HELP?

No matter what your talent may be, there will be a need for you.

Your contribution can be made in a number of ways, from answering the phone, weeding gardens, coaching sport, to operating computers and offering advice. It can be done at any time, day or Night. We simply need people, all kinds of people, with time or skills or a smile to share.☺
